Leaders to Singles

Singles Ministers, Directors, Teachers, and Volunteers

Single-person households have increased more than fivefold since 1960, from 7 million to 37 million. 2022, 47.3% of households had married couples, while 11.1% of people lived alone. Those figures were 74% and 3.9% in 1960, respectively.

KNOW YOUR COMMUNITY TO REACH THEM

Focusing on singles is vital. Regardless of your church’s discipleship model, if you are single or married or the only pastor on staff. Singles matter. They matter to God, and statistics show that singles are increasing while churches focus on family ministry, neglecting 40% of families who are single-parent households.

There has to be a balance to reach the next generation. Leader, you have the intentional chance to focus on singles in your church and grow your local congregation by focusing on singles. Having a community of believers that focuses on all types of adults will reach your community and grow your church.
